Wow, I can’t believe that we are only a week away from Christmas and only a few weeks before the end of 2016. Where did the year go!? It has truly been the year of “Best laid plans…” and Christmas preparation is included in that.
As I reviewed my list I realized how glad I was to get my handmade gifts done before my business boomed and put a screeching halt on our own family preparations! Fortunately, I tackled all those monthly tasks so I am not as behind as I thought I was.
The Christmas cards are ready for mailing.
I decided to pare my baking list down to making a tray for hubby to bring to the kids at the Coast Guard Station.
Our tree is up and beautiful and greens decorate the mantel. (I have to confess, greens decorate the mantle because I needed it for product photo’s, HA!)
We finished the rest of our handmade gifts in the nick of time and they are wrapped, packed, and shipped.
My grocery list is made for our quiet Christmas dinner.
And all I have left to do is wrap the gifts I created for a few of my friends.
And in the meantime…
We are traveling to see the Tennessee kids this week for a few days and while we will put presents under their tree, we plan on building memories. Plaster ornaments are packed so we can paint them together, we’ll take walks and play games, we’ll eat and laugh, and most of all, we will be present.
