Pompom Bunnies My oldest daughter is really into her pom-pom maker and she’s put it to good use by making a springtime Easter Bunny. She wanted to be included on the blog today to show you how to make this cute little craft for yourself.

Tools Needed:

  • Yarn
  • Pom-Pom Maker (you can pick one up at any craft store. They come in several sizes but all include a large and a small in each pkg)
  • Glue
  • Scraps of felt for the ears
  • Beads, safety eyes, or buttons for the eyes
  • Scissors

Open the pompom maker up

Close the maker. Using scissors, cut the yarn using the ditch as a guide.

Cut a piece of yarn about 5-6 inches in length and using the ditch again, securely tie some knots! Pull the yarn tie so it slips down inside.

Now for the magic. Pull the pompom maker apart. Voila! A pompom!

Fluff the pompoms up and using the tails of the yarn you tied the each pompom off, tie the two pompoms together.

Cut some ears and ear linings from the felt and glue deep in the “fur”. Glue on what ever you chose for the eyes and tail.

Ask a knitter for their left overs and experiment with different yarns and different colors and pretty soon you will have a whole litter!
